ABA Tax Section's Tax Challenge
The Tax Challenge is a moot court-style competition for J.D. and LL.M. students to apply the knowledge gained in their tax courses to solve a cutting-edge tax-planning problem. This year’s problems will be released on Friday, August 24, 2012 and written submissions are due on Friday, November 9, 2012. The J.D. semi-finalists and LL.M. finalists will be invited to orally defend their submissions before a panel of some of the nation’s premier tax attorneys at the ABA Tax Section’s Midyear Meeting, on Friday, January 25, 2013 in Orlando, Florida.
More information is available at http://www.abanet.org/tax/lstc/home.html.
The Tax Challenge is the premier tax-planning competition in the United States, and it is a great learning and career development opportunity for students.
