Oregon Tax Section - New Tax Lawyers Subcommittee

Recently, the Executive Committee of the Oregon Tax Section designated the New Tax Lawyers Subcommittee to provide professional development, leadership, and educational opportunities and resources to lawyers new to the practice of tax law. Membership is open to attorneys until their tenth year of practicing or fifth year of membership with the OSB Taxation Section, whichever is later.

Subcommittee meetings are scheduled for the First Mondays of every month, from 12 - 1pm, and will rotate locations. The meetings are open to all, and you are encouraged to attend (and bring your lunch). The upcoming 2010 meeting dates are as follows:

Rescheduled Career Workshop

I've reschedule the presentation I had planned for March 10, 2010, for Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 12:00 PM in room 115 B-C. At that time, I will discuss some of the information I gathered at the NALP conference I attended in February. We will be providing box lunches. Please let me know your lunch selection if you plan to attend.

The general consensus is that the career workshop should be rescheduled until after finals. Once I have secured a room for the event, I will post the new date. It will likely be the Wednesday or Thursday during the first week of Spring quarter.
