KPMG Job Posting

Below you will find the general Tax Associate posting for KPMG, along with descriptions of the practice groups that are hiring. As of now, both SALT (State & Local) and Federal Tax will be looking for candidates in the Fall. International Tax (ICS) may interview at the same time or after first quarter grades have been posted. All students interested in KPMG are encouraged to submit their paperwork at this time with the understanding that if they prefer ICS, they may have to wait for their first round interview.

• KPMG Seattle very strongly prefers candidates with an undergraduate degree in Accounting or at minimum, a business-related undergrad degree with some accounting coursework.

Qualifications:

Federal Tax Services

KPMG's Federal Tax Services Practice is a resource for clients that need help complying with the latest IRS rules and regulations. Our tax professionals who handle federal tax issues bring the experience and commitment necessary to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to help meet our clients' specific needs.

KPMG’s Federal Tax Services practice offers a broad range of capabilities in the following areas:

State and Local Tax

KPMG’s State and Local Tax (SALT) practice needs more members for their Income Franchise team. KPMG's SALT practice assists clients as they work to reduce their tax liabilities and enhance the bottom line. As a national practice, SALT is committed to bringing some of the best professionals to each engagement and providing dynamic tax services to clients.
Additional educational hours are needed in Washington State beyond the bachelor’s degree in order to become eligible to sit the CPA exam and/or become certified as a CPA. KPMG asks that candidates intending to pursue a CPA license meet the educational requirements needed to be eligible to sit the CPA exam prior to starting employment with KPMG.
